Christine Heusner

Photographer•Educator•Artist

Heusner’s photographic work explores the influence of the environment on the person and visa versa. She works through a combination of techniques and mediums to explore the modern environment and the body’s presence within and interactions with these surroundings. Christine received her BA in Art with a concentration in photography from Elmira College and her MFA in Imaging Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Christine is currently the Graduate Director in the School of Media Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology and teaches courses in photography, imaging workflows, retouching and typography and page design. She is an exhibiting artist and her digital and photographic work has been shown internationally in public exhibitions. Prior to RIT, she worked in photographic studios specializing in commercial and portrait photography, design, and fine-art printing.
